I am a drawing and print-media honours graduate from the Australian National University. The primary focus of my practice is creating drawings that immerse the viewer in a deep abstract space using architecture and urban form as a starting point.

The emphasis on urban form and architecture came from travelling to Copenhagen during my second year at University where I did six weeks of drawing on site from rooftops and streets. The drawings are a form of visual mapping which translate into highly dense cityscapes. I continue to push these drawings into broader spatially orientated works that build areas of depth and weight through tonal shifts.

At the end of my honours year I was awarded a six months residency at Canberra Contemporary Art Space. As a young artist living in rural regional NSW this was an extraordinary opportunity to support my arts practice and development.

In particular it gave me the opportunity to explore new projects and engage with a variety of national and international artists and curators. I was then awarded a residency with Megalo Print Studio in Canberra where I extended my practice into screen printing completing 50 meters of repeat fabric printing. I used previous street drawings to combine the new medium with older drawings. This opportunity also allowed me to make connections with visiting artists, curators and be mentored by master printers in the ACT and regional NSW. Both these residencies have led to group shows in the Canberra region which has helped build my profile further in the art scene.
